Solomon Asfha Profile:

“”Solomon Asfhsa is working on carbon capture and green hydrogen research and innovations. With his extensive experience spanning more than 12 years in the area of carbon capture and green hydrogen, he developed various inventions and held various patents in the field. Recently, he developed the world's new generation of carbon capture technology that is able to capture carbon dioxide emissions and simultaneously generate megawatts of clean electric power. The technology comes with dual solutions and new approaches to reducing carbon emissions.””

CEOCFO: Mr. Asfha, we last spoke to you about Alpha Green Innovation and Consultancy about a year ago. Your main personal desire is to lower CO2 in the atmosphere; where are we today with that? Do governments, manufactures, businesses and people share the same vision as you?

Mr. Asfhsa: Absolutely! In alignment with the worldwide push for net-zero emissions, governments, manufacturers, and businesses have expressed a shared vision. For instance, the government of Canada has set clear targets for carbon emissions reduction and achieving net-zero emissions.

However, in practice, there are significant challenges. Some institutions fail to support clean technology innovations, leading to talent and expertise leaving the country continuously in search of better opportunities.

Canadians have strong ambitions to mitigate carbon emissions through cleantech innovations and need to address the climate challenges. But, due to the endless bureaucracy in the system, some cutting-edge innovations and startups like ours are hindered and facing too many obstacles.

These challenges pose barriers to achieving our common goal of a cleaner, more sustainable future. Without addressing the endless bureaucracy in the system, it’s difficult to achieve the net-zero emission vision.

CEOCFO: What led to your current situation? Why didn’t you pursue it further with cutting-edge technology?

Mr. Asfha: Until this day, we have been working to scale up our technology. Unfortunately, due to some players in the industry, skepticism, corrupt networks, and endless bureaucracy in the system, we have not been able to. They denied us funding more than four times. This situation continues to this day, and currently, the Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Credit Program Office (SR&ED program Office) has held our proposal for six months. But the office has a mandate to respond within 60 business days.

Our innovation fully meets the eligibility requirements for the SR&ED grant, and we submitted our application on May 28, 2023. However, despite the established 60-business-day processing time, we have had to repeatedly request updates on our application, but they don’t like to answer our questions. They have been unresponsive and have continued to keep our application on hold for six months, unjustly.

Does the SR&ED office provide equal opportunities for all? How many other startups and innovations like ours are facing the same bureaucratic delays from the SR&ED office?

The SR&ED Office has a responsibility to respond on time. We are not asking them for any favors; we are asking them to give us equal opportunity. Unjustifiably holding up proposals for six months is a systematic hindrance to innovation and startups.

This situation not only highlights bureaucratic issues within the SR&ED office but also raises serious concerns about its integrity. It calls for intervention and resolution by the authorities.

CEOCFO: Why didn’t you pursue it further with cutting-edge technology?

Mr. Asfhsa: Unfortunately, as I mentioned above, we encounter systemic bureaucratic obstacles that hinder our ability to scale up our breakthrough technology as we planned.

It's important to highlight some key points here, and here are the common reasons why an important innovation was hindered:

1. Blocking funding and causing systematic delays in R&D and startups.

2. Creating complexities and challenges, especially related to intellectual property, leading to delays.

3. Employing advanced tactics against innovators and their innovations, like systematically damaging reputations and labeling negatively, to hinder cleantech progress.

Specifically, we have encountered and confronted all of these challenges at various points in our journey. Additionally, the Canadian Intellectual Property Office tried to abuse us multiple times for our intellectual property. Not only this, but too many things happen to us. Government institutions like those offices are expected to be free from any third-party influences and must give equal service and opportunity to everyone.

Presently, it is evident that the SR&ED offices are actively holding onto our application, a clear indication of their efforts to obstruct the progress of our cleantech innovation. This situation raises various concerns, including bureaucracy, corruption, and their integrity, and requires intervention and solutions by the independent authorities.

Nevertheless, nothing can deter our commitment to making strides in these honorable fields. We maintain high moral standards, which is why we persist in our work, regardless of these external factors.

CEOCFO: What were some of the challenges you faced in developing the technology and getting people to understand its value?

Mr. Asfha: It's important to recognize that not everyone fully grasps the potential of our innovation, including some individuals in positions of authority. Unfortunately, they have formed negative judgments based on a limited perspective, which is an unwise and unfavorable perspective without fully understanding our capabilities. It's unwise to pass judgment without adequate knowledge.

While we understand that not everyone will readily accept or comprehend our innovation, we remain undeterred. This is a common aspect of human nature, and it's a natural human tendency.

Our mission is to raise awareness and work diligently to convince them of the value and significance of what we have to offer.

CEOCFO: I see that you have had a name change. Would you tell us about that and your relationship with YBRA C-Capture and Energy Solutions Inc.?

Mr. Asfha: Certainly! Alpha Green Innovation was our former company name. YBRA C-Capture and Energy Solution Inc. is a newly established Canadian company, founded eight months ago. We currently operate and conduct our business activities under the name Alpha Green Innovation. It's important to note that both names refer to the same entity.

CEOCFO: Where are you today in the development of your carbon capture technology? When we last spoke you had one prototype built; are there others, have there been any updates to your original technology?

Mr. Asfha: Until this day, we have been working tirelessly with very limited resources and difficult situations.

We have encountered a significant amount of systemic bureaucracy and encountered obstacles from some industry players as well as a few government officials. As a result, they have rejected our applications for support and grants that were 100% eligible more than four times. Look, we never received $1 in support from the government program for this project. We persevered for over four years without any form of support from the government side. Consider how immensely challenging this has been. We covered the cost of R&D by ourselves and other generous individuals. No one would continue in this situation, but we have an unwavering passion for science and the environment. That is why we are working continuously on it, even if the support is not coming.

We firmly believe that one day, the world will recognize and reward us for our tireless efforts and contributions to the field.

However, the bureaucracy and persistent rejection of support and funds have left us both deeply concerned and perplexed.

CEOCFO: You previously indicated you were planning to move forward and build a large-scale system. Have you made any progress in this area?

Mr. Asfha: We have achieved significant technological advancement milestones, including securing patents in both Canada and the United States. Remarkably, these milestones were reached despite working with limited resources and without the support of grants.

These patents stand as compelling testimony to the remarkable technological strides we've made and the innovations we've brought to fruition. They underscore our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation.

According to our original plan, unfortunately, we were unable to construct the large-scale technology. If we had received the necessary support, we would have advanced to a different level today, developing an industrial-scale version of our technology.

It's disheartening to imagine how, with the necessary financial support, our product would be developed on an industrial scale and could already be entered into the market today, creating green jobs and contributing significantly to the green economy. The potential impact we could make is immense, and it's frustrating to see these possibilities remain unrealized due to the lack of funding and endless bureaucracies.

CEOCFO: What exactly does your carbon capture technology do? Is it also an electricity or power generator?

Mr. Asfha: Our technology represents a groundbreaking solution capable of capturing carbon dioxide while simultaneously generating megawatt-hours of electric power. Our innovation addresses the critical problem of carbon dioxide emissions by providing dual solutions. It effectively provides two crucial solutions at once: capturing carbon dioxide from industrial emissions and simultaneously producing clean electric power.

We have the world’s new technology; this technology is available only in Canada. Our technology is not just carbon capture. Our compact technology generates megawatt hours of clean energy through an integrated and compact system that includes fuel cells, an ionized hydrogen gas turbine, and waste heat to generate electricity, making it a comprehensive solution. For further detailed information about our product, please kindly visit: https://greeninnovationlabs.com/.

Our innovation directly tackles the core issues of carbon emissions and global warming, and it’s expected to significantly contribute to the net zero emissions vision.

CEOCFO: Who would the end user be; manufacturers, power companies, individual homes and businesses, or all of the above? Are they paying attention?

Mr. Asfha: Our technology provides solutions for various sectors. Our customers will be from a diverse range of sectors and industries, including cement, steel, Coal, Power plants, fired boilers of oil refineries and petrochemical plants, Natural gas fired boilers, Oil-fired boilers, Coal-fired boilers, Hydrogen production, aluminum production, etc. The carbon emitter plants and factories that will use this technology, helps them to “capture their emissions and simultaneously generate green electric power” will save millions of dollars and create big profits while helping them to reach their ambitious carbon reduction goals, helping the environment and humanity.

CEOCFO: Are Canadian lawmakers paying attention. Have they given you a chance to present your technology to them?

Mr. Asfha: Unfortunately, we haven't had the chance to discuss it with them yet. However, we have recently established a connection with them, and I'm optimistic that we will have the opportunity for further discussions regarding our project.

CEOCFO: What sets Alpha Green Innovation apart from other companies and inventors looking to lower carbon emissions?

Mr. Asfha: Currently, there are hundreds of Carbon Capture Technologies in operation worldwide. Our technology stands out as it not only captures carbon dioxide but also generates megawatt-hours of clean energy seamlessly. This emphasis on clean energy generation is at the core of our innovation, enabling us to tackle the pressing issue of carbon dioxide emissions with a dual-purpose approach. This sets our technology apart from existing carbon capture solutions on the market.

CEOCFO: Lastly, if you have a message for the public and relevant authorities, please share it with us.

Mr. Asfha: Our technology contributes to a cleaner future, environment, and humanity. We have been working independently with commitments for a year on this technology development. We have unwavering passions for science and the environment. That’s why we have been working until this day with limited resources and without any government support or grants.

Unfortunately, due to some players in the industry, skepticism, corrupt networks, and bureaucracy in the system, they denied us a fund more than four times.

This situation continues to this day, and currently, the SR&ED program office has held our proposal for six months. But the office has a mandate to respond within 60 business days. This is the systematic delaying and hindering of our cleantech innovations. This systematic hindering of our cleantech innovation action is not only against us; it is against humanity and the environment and directly contradicts the environmental plans and goals of Canada.

The question is: how many innovations and startups have faced the same fate and hindered their technology forever?

This systemic delay in R&D operations and hindering cleantech innovation is not only disrespecting Canadian laws; it's also disrespecting international agreements, including Paris, Kyoto, and other UNFCC agreements on the environment. Currently, COP 28 is being held in the UAE to discuss solutions for carbon emissions, and the world is contentiously looking for new solutions that could potentially reduce carbon emissions, like ours. Unfortunately, it is indeed disheartening to witness government institutions, such as SR&ED offices, contributing to bureaucratic complexities and impediments that hinder the progress of cleantech innovations.

In summery, Government institutions like SR&ED offices are expected to be free from any third-party influences and must give equal service and opportunity to everyone.

Due to the above concrete reasons, we cannot scale up our cutting-edge technology that potentially contributes to carbon emission reduction, to the benefit of the environment and humanity. We would like to call on all Canadians and international communities for their support and advocacy. Furthermore, we call for Canada's relevant authorities, members of parliament, environmentalists, and environmental law institutions to make an intervention, investigation, and resolution into the case we are facing and to give us justice.
